Stillness Through Movement

The British Daoist Association

May 16th-18th

This three day retreat will be an opportunity to explore the ancient practice of Dao Yin and Tranquil Sitting. Dao Yin is a practice of aligning and opening the body using a series of gentle movements and self massage to support our cultivation of stillness and clarity - especially in seated meditation. This retreat is appropriate for those new to this practice as well as those who have been on previous retreats with the BDA.

There will be a yoga class with Raquel on Thursday evening followed by dinner. On the following days there will be two yoga classes, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon, which will include meditation and breathwork. Each night after dinner there will be an activity such as gathering around the bonfire, watching the sunset or candle gazing and yoga nidra.

There will also be plenty of time each day to walk, rest, relax or take a dip in the pool or even the sea. There will be a yoga class on Sunday morning before brunch and goodbyes.
