Often when we arrive at our yoga class we have raced to get there, possibly stressed by traffic, we settle in as best we can and by the time we’ve settled and practised we get a glimpse of that yoga magic feeling with a sense of peace before we race off back to our busy life.
Think then what is possible on a retreat - a space that lasts for several days away from all the stresses . and distractions of your daily life.
When we step away from all that is familiar and routine we give ourselves an opportunity to view our life from a wider perspective. Through the practices of yoga, breath work and meditation we become more grounded and connected which, coupled with being away from our familiar distractions, can help us bring about shifts in our consciousness and perspective.

I am running a weekend yoga retreat at Bonhays, a beautiful eco-retreat centre, nestled in the hills of West Dorset, between Bridport and Lyme Regis and just two miles from the sea. The setting is secluded and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Relish every moment as we come together to share the joy of rejuvenating the mind, body and soul through daily yoga practice, meditation, rest and relaxation and presentations on living well with Ayurveda.
Come and spend the weekend away from it all. Immersed in nature amongst Dorset’s rolling hills. A whole weekend dedicated to coming home to you through yoga and meditation amongst friends.

Celebrate the Summer Solstice with 4 days and 3 nights of Yoga and delicious vegan food in an idyllic location in Dorset. Take a dip in the pool, walk to the beach, marvel at the stars, and relish every moment.
Explore the ancient practice of Dao Yin and Tranquil Sitting, the core daoist practice and how the Daoist view permeates all aspects of, and is fundamental to the cultivation. Suitable for both seasoned practitioners and those new to this practice.
There will be a yoga class with Kate on Monday evening and meditation after dinner. On the following days there will be two yoga classes, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon, plus plenty of time to walk, rest, relax or take a dip in the pool or even the sea. There will be a yoga class on Thursday morning before brunch and goodbyes.
There are plenty of lovely walks, local beaches to visit and ample space to simply relax.
There will be a yoga class with Raquel on Thursday evening followed by dinner. On the following days there will be two yoga classes, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon, which will include meditation and breathwork. Each night after dinner there will be an activity such as gathering around the bonfire, watching the sunset or candle gazing and yoga nidra.
There will also be plenty of time each day to walk, rest, relax or take a dip in the pool or even the sea. There will be a yoga class on Sunday morning before brunch and goodbyes.
There will be a yoga class with Catherine on Friday evening and yoga nidra after dinner. On Saturday there will be two yoga classes, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon, which will include meditation and breathwork. There will also be plenty of time to walk, rest, relax or take a dip in the pool or even the sea. There will be a yoga class on Sunday morning before brunch and goodbyes.
There will be a yoga class with Lila on Monday evening and meditation after dinner. On the following days there will be two yoga classes, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon, plus plenty of time to walk, rest, relax or take a dip in the pool or even the sea. There will be a yoga class on Thursday morning before brunch and goodbyes.
There are plenty of lovely walks, local beaches to visit and ample space to simply relax.
There will be four long and varied yoga sessions. There is a beautiful warm indoor pool. The grounds are pleasant to wander around and exclusively ours. The local scenery is stunning.
