During this late winter retreat we take time to nourish and restore with yoga and meditation based around the concept of loving intentions and heart energy. Held over 3 nights among the beautiful surroundings of the Jurassic Coast in Dorset you will be guided to restore a little balance, nourish your body, create self care plans and honour yourself for the year ahead. You’ll enjoy wholesome plant based food, slow flow Yoga and uplifting mindfulness and meditation practice. You will be aided to connect into your heart, feel its true purpose and create space for new caring practice’s.
Enjoy a revitalising weekend away refreshing your body and mind. A whole weekend is a wonderful way of immersing yourself into your yoga, breathing and meditation practice. You’ll find yoga, relaxation, fresh air and nourishing food. Perfect either on your own or with a special friend, relative or partner.
We will come together to enjoy plenty of Yoga and there will be lots of time to swim in the pool, read a book or take a walk in the lovely surrounding countryside. Or you may wish to venture out to Bridport, Lyme Regis or take a trip to the beach. Hopefully we will get some summer sunshine too! But ultimately it will be your weekend to relax, restore and do less.
Awakening the Self
During the two days you will have a chance to take a break from the demands of life, and delve into your deepest self. Looking at your story with eyes of compassion frees you from inner judgement, and allows you to fully embrace all aspects of yourself and your past, bringing a profound peace.
Out of this peace arises the energy which unifies all beings: Love. You are this love, and immersing yourself in this awakens your life’s purpose and brings you in line with the wonder of each moment.
Join Jayne for a magical long Easter weekend of yoga, meditation with play/chill (and chocolate) time in beautiful Dorset. Easter traditionally signifies new beginnings… when those little seeds planted start to spring forth and take root. Our practices will help blow away the cobwebs accumulated in our bodies and minds over the darker seasons, inspire us to form new habits (and friendships) and generally feel good about ourselves. Arrive from 3pm for a revitalising Good Friday yoga practice before dinner.
Jane has evolved her own personal style of teaching yoga , drawing on her experience of Dru, Scaravelli and Iyengar yoga teachings. She also introduces into her classes ancient Tibetan healing techniques, working with the breath and visualisation to create a free flow of energy through the whole system, both physically and mentally.
For the last few years Red Tent has been busy building an army of birthkeepers to support women and their families through the childbearing year. We believe all women have the right to have a loving, safe and healthy experience when they birth their babies and we believe support is key to that. Good support should include a good educator.
Jnana Yoga – Finding your inner wisdom through mindfulness.
The retreat will include meditation, yoga asanas (postures) and yogaphilosophy. There will be time to swim, walk, rest and spend time with others on retreat or take time out for you. The objective for the weekend is to take time out from your normal responsibilities, routines and daily workloads and enjoy the wellness and mindfulness you can learn from yoga teachings which can be integrated back into your home life.
The yoga I teach is a subtle style; it is often slow and flowing, sometimes strong but in the moment. I use yoga philosophy with each movement. Breathing is important to enhance the benefit of each asana (posture) Some asanas are held in meditation. Effortless awareness is necessary to come to stillness where the mind and body find harmony, so silence within is experienced.
The varied activities throughout the weekend mean you can participate in as much or as little as you can manage, allowing you to choose how much you learn and take away from the weekend.

We are passionate about the full spectrum of yoga. We live, teach and embrace the richness of a yogic lifestyle. We endeavour through our teaching to share our own experience of yoga as a transformative practise on and off the yoga mat. Our classes are inspired by our study of classical teachings of Hatha yoga in disciplines that include Iyengar, Ashtanga, Sivananda, Satyananda, Krishnamacharya and Dona Holleman's enlightened asana work. We teach group classes and private lessons, host courses, workshops and retreats, and organise Yoga Teacher Training programmes.

The yoga sessions will be taught by Morven, with the first class on Thursday evening being a gentle practice for travellers, followed by a relaxing Yoga Nidra later in the evening to send you off to bed feeling grounded and sleepy. Each day we will start the day early with a morning walking or sitting meditation for early risers, followed by a wake-up holistic yoga practice before breakfast. The morning yoga will be more dynamic than the gentle evening sessions. Beginners and seasoned practitioners will be encouraged to explore their limits and deepen their understanding of the body in movement…
Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is based on research by Kristin Neff, integrated with the clinical perspective of Christopher Germer. MSC teaches core principles and practices that enable participants to respond to difficult moments in their lives with kindness, care and understanding. The three key components of self-compassion are self-kindness, a sense of common humanity, and balanced, mindful awareness. Kindness opens our hearts to suffering, so we can give ourselves what we need. Common humanity opens us to our essential inter-relatedness, so that we know we aren’t alone. Mindfulness opens us to the present moment, so we can accept our experience with greater ease. Together they comprise a state of warm, connected, presence.

Find your Inner Godess
Who is this retreat for? Just about every woman I know. Why do we need a retreat just for women? The role of the woman in today's society is complex, conflicting demands - the push to be and have everything, yet when you strive for what society expects from you you're faced with criticism. This weekend is for all women looking to shed that 'skin', dive deep sisters and get ready to step into the full glory of your own truth.
What to expect? There will be female centered yoga practices, movement designed to find and ignite your inner goddess, including well womb yoga (this is for all women, whether you have a womb or not), deeply nurturing yin along with meditation, pranayama, expression through art, a women's circle and yoga nidra. There will be free time to explore the local area (we're only two miles from the sea), use the on site heated pool or just relax with a good book by a roaring fire. Coupled with the most delicious food you can think of, this weekend is for you!
Arriving at 4 on Friday 20th November you'll have time to unpack and unwind before our first practice together. The retreat finishes after lunch on Sunday 22nd.
