Who would you be without your story?
Imagine if you could let go of the past and the future, and be free of becoming, grasping, judging, and the pressure to achieve. Imagine realizing everything in your life - the problems, emotional patterns and traumas - have been specifically created for your own unique awakening.
We are not here by chance, struggling alone to cope with the problems of existence, we are invisibly guided by the Intelligence of Life while those around us on our journey are our guides. Once we let go of resistance and see ourselves with compassion and acceptance, we begin to view the world through the eyes of the heart. Only then can we move beyond our limiting personal self to an awareness of the One movement of Life. This movement is total peace, infinite love...’

Jnana Yoga – Finding your inner wisdom through mindfulness.
The retreat will include meditation, yoga asanas (postures) and yogaphilosophy. There will be time to swim, walk, rest and spend time with others on retreat or take time out for you. The objective for the weekend is to take time out from your normal responsibilities, routines and daily workloads and enjoy the wellness and mindfulness you can learn from yoga teachings which can be integrated back into your home life.
The yoga I teach is a subtle style; it is often slow and flowing, sometimes strong but in the moment. I use yoga philosophy with each movement. Breathing is important to enhance the benefit of each asana (posture) Some asanas are held in meditation. Effortless awareness is necessary to come to stillness where the mind and body find harmony, so silence within is experienced.
The varied activities throughout the weekend mean you can participate in as much or as little as you can manage, allowing you to choose how much you learn and take away from the weekend.
Come and join me for 3 days of Yoga, Ayurveda, rest & relaxation and delicious vegetarian / vegan food in an idyllic location.

For centuries yogis have known that we are far more than the physical body we can see, feel and touch. Hidden within lies an intricate and expansive body of energy which we can access and influence through our yoga practices. Over the course of this long weekend we will explore the use of mudra (hand gestures) and the enquiring movement of asana alongside breathwork and meditation to grow connections to our energy body. Move with intention, breathe with awareness and manifest your own greater insight and knowledge.
All curious yogis are welcome to join me to move beyond the asana and delve deeper. Using inspiring teachings, poems, stories, myths, mudras and mantras we will cultivate ourselves and grow in our understanding and experience of yoga in its fuller sense.

We will come together to enjoy plenty of Yoga and there will be lots of time to swim in the pool, read a book or take a walk in the lovely surrounding countryside. Or you may wish to venture out to Bridport, Lyme Regis or take a trip to the beach. Hopefully we will get some summer sunshine too! But ultimately it will be your weekend to relax, restore and do less.
We are passionate about the full spectrum of yoga. We live, teach and embrace the richness of a yogic lifestyle. We endeavour through our teaching to share our own experience of yoga as a transformative practise on and off the yoga mat. Our classes are inspired by our study of classical teachings of Hatha yoga in disciplines that include Iyengar, Ashtanga, Sivananda, Satyananda, Krishnamacharya and Dona Holleman's enlightened asana work. We teach group classes and private lessons, host courses, workshops and retreats, and organise Yoga Teacher Training programmes.
